When we hosted our very first Xmas Market last December, we didn't quite know what to expect. 40 carefully curated exhibitors, a building transformed for one day, and a community that showed up in a way that truly exceeded our expectations. Over 500 visitors, several brands completely sold out, and an energy that lingered long after the last guest left.
That day told us something important: people are hungry for this. For local talent, for beautiful things made with care, for a reason to come together.
So we started thinking. What if we did it again? What if we took everything we loved about the Xmas Market — the curation, the community, the warmth — and gave it a summer twist?
That's how the Summer Market was born. But more than just a market, what we really wanted to create was a revisited Sunday market experience. The kind of easy, unhurried day where you wander, bump into people you know, discover something new, and simply enjoy being together. A Sunday the way Sundays should feel.
On June 28th, we opened our garden for a full day celebrating some of the best Belgian brands we know and love. Food, drinks, fashion, jewelry, home decor, wellness, each exhibitor handpicked, each stand a reflection of the creativity and craftsmanship that exists right here in Belgium.
We spent weeks curating the lineup, and we're genuinely proud of who joined us. From handmade crochet accessories and vintage reworked blazers to craft ciders, artisan homeware, and the most beautiful jewelry. Every brand brought something unique to the table. Walking through the garden felt like discovering a little world of its own, where every corner had something worth stopping for.
And it wasn't just about shopping. We wanted the day to feel alive. Families wandered through the stands while their kids made paper flowers with Flore. Dogs were very much part of the party, Babines even brought special dog cupcakes, because why not. A DJ set kept the energy going through the afternoon, and the smell of oysters and fresh coffee drifted through the garden all day long.
And that's exactly what it felt like. A proper Sunday, spent together.
Thank you to every exhibitor who trusted us, every visitor who spent their Sunday with us, and everyone who helped make it happen. This is what Fosbury & Sons is all about.
